Surgery

Today my mother-in-law goes in for surgery. (Please pray for her) I was reminded of what someone said recently, "It's always minor surgery unless it's happening to you". True statement! I was going in for a heart cath. a few months ago and I felt the need to try to tell my family how much I loved them. I said "try" because my wife didn't want to listen to me saying those things because she thought I thought I was dying. This year I've had a few of those moments where I've looked back on my life. I preached a series last year at our church and one of the points to it was "NO REGRETS". Live every day so that at the end of the day you could say "I have no regrets today". Have I accomplished that? No, but I'm not going to stop trying! My wife just called and her mother is in surgery right now. Deana and I have been married for almost 25 years and in that time I've had some disagreements with her Dad and Mom but I can happily say today, I love them and they love me.( I think!) Get well Grandmommy! We love you!
